Pizza Like Never Before! Soapstone Pizza pan is perfect for preparing pizza and keeps your pizza warm from the oven right to the table - slice after slice! This soapstone pizza pan is imported from Brazil where it has been used for centuries. The 12" stone is adorned with beautiful copper handles. This pan keeps pizza slices hot to the last bite. Soapstone's most interesting qualities are cooking without altering food flavor therefore getting the true flavor of each food. Because it is stone, the cookware heats up evenly. After the food is cooked, soapstone cookware can go straight to the serving table because of it's beauty and most importantly because it keeps food warm for a long time. Flat baking surface is 11.75 inches in diameter, with another .25 inches border. Handles are 1.5 inches each, making final size 15 inches.
This cookware can go in the oven and any type of food can be cooked in it since it does not react with acidic foods. Soapstone is a very non-porous stone. In the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil, especially in the historic towns such as Ouro Preto, soapstone cookware is virtually the only material used for cooking and serving. Full curing and use instructions come with each of our soapstone pizza griddles.
